Slagowski to Restart College Career in NAIA

Sub-Four Miler Michael Slagowski to Run for NAIA Eastern Oregon in Fall By Adam Kopet , DyeStat Editor In 2016 Michael Slagowski, then a senior at Rocky Mountain ID, became the ninth high school boy to break four minutes in the mile. He did it twice, first at the Nike Jesuit Twilight Relays and then again at the Prefontaine Classic. However, Slagowski's college career has not gone as planned. He left Penn State early in the second semester of his freshman year, returning home to Idaho with unclear plans about his future. Don Kopriva of Track and Field News reports that Slagowski has chosen the school he will attend and compete for in the fall: Eastern Oregon. Eastern Oregon is an NAIA school in LaGrande, Oregon.
