Recommended reading for runners, via @SweatScience:

With Thanksgiving out of the way, 'tis the official season for gift lists, so I thought I'd mention a few books that I think would be of interest to readers of this blog (and their friends, families, and anyone else in their gift-giving circles!). Tread Lightly First up, a book I've been meaning to read for ages but finally got around to last month: Tread Lightly: Form, Footwear, and the Quest for Injury-Free Running , by Peter Larson and Bill Katovsky. Larson is the shoe-obsessed biomechanics researcher behind the Runblogger site , and he (from what I gather) was in charge of presenting the science of running stride, footstrike, and footwear in the book. Katovsky is an editor and author who contributed chapters on topics like nutrition and history. So how is it?
