#Running After Breast Cancer: Fastest 5K Ever?

This race did remind me how much fun races can be - the nerves before the start, the energy of the other runners, the sense of accomplishment when I cross the finish line, the snacks and beer at the end - all of the things I have learned to love over the past few years of my (very) limited racing career. I was all set to skip the Boulder Bolder this year, a race I’ve run every year with my husband since we moved to Denver, due to my implant surgery at the beginning of May. But after the 5K, I realized that I HAVE to run the Bolder Boulder in 2017. it means so much more than just another race. It’s important to prove to myself, my family and especially Dan, that I’m better now - more than better! I'm stronger than before and ready to put breast cancer in the past.
