Do you know your "training age?" It can help you plan much smarter workouts:

I don’t know what to consider as my training age. Throughout my childhood and teen years I was fairly active playing various sports and doing gymnastics. In college I worked out regularly. I ran 5 miles almost daily. I took (and even occasionally subbed) aerobics, yoga, circuits, and ab/back classes. I took a long break–about 10-12 years. I decided to take my health back and started running again this summer but then ITBS took me down until I found your rehab routine. I am still running and completed a marathon Jan 18th. So should I not count anything from before my big break? I wasn’t a total couch potato during that decade, but I was pretty close to it.
