RW's brief chat with Natosha Rogers "I made a decision to do what I needed to do and to be good."

By Peter Gambaccini Photo by Victah Sailer Natosha Rogers of Texas A&M won the 10,000-meter run at the 2012 NCAA Championships in 32:41.63 and then took second in the 10,000 at the U.S. Olympic Trials in 31:59.21. Alas, she did not have the "A" standard to compete at the Olympics. Rogers, who is from Littleton, Colorado, was also the Big 12 10,000 and 5000-meter champ last year. Rogers has already begun training for Texas A&M's cross country season; she was 57th at the NCAA Championships last fall. We spoke to her at about 8:20 a.m. her time after her team had worked out early "because it gets so hot here." Texas A&M competes in the Baylor Twilight meet on August 31.
