Judge rules against Lance Armstrong's bid to bar U.S. Anti-Doping Agency's investigation:

Photo by Victah Sailer A Texas judge has dismissed Lance Armstrong's bid to bar the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency from pursuing its investigation of him, USA Today reports . In June, USADA announced it was investigating allegations of performance-enhancing drug use by Armstrong during his seven Tour de France victories. Armstrong subsequently filed a suit that USADA's procedures violate his constitutional right to due process. The Texas judge ruled that this claim lacks merit. In February, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles had dropped its doping investigation of Armstrong without filing charges. Unlike the U.S. Attorney's Office, the USADA doesn't have the power to file criminal charges, but it can strip athletes of medals and titles, and ban them from future competition.
