RBR Summer Mileage, Week 4, Day 6: a Race, by RunBlogRunS: Molly Huddle, Shannon Rowbury, Kim Conley, Gabe And...

Molly Huddle, Shannon Rowbury, Kim Conley, Gabe Anderson, Jordan Hasay, Chelsea Reilly, July 26, 2013, London DL, photo by PhotoRun.net This is the first race that we have recommended for you to race. Find a two mile or a 5k (a 3k will do as well). Test yourself, have some fun. Saturday: Find an all comers meet and race two miles. It is a fun distance, and gives you a good idea of your fitness. Keep track of how you feel, was the pace too hard? Did you slow down in the last half mile? Did you finish well? If you can not find a two mile, then run a 5k on the roads, go out modest pace for first mile and begin to pick up. Over the last mile, see how many you can pass. Warm up and cool down for races well.
