— USA Triathlon today announced the dates and locations for a number of its 2013 National Championship events, providing multisport athletes from across the United States the opportunity to compete in a top-notch championship environment and earn official national champion status. Kicking off the 2013 National Championship slate is the USA Triathlon Winter Triathlon National Championships, which will be held Jan. 27 alongside the Powder Hound Winter Triathlon in Butte, Mont., for the second straight year. Winter Nationals features a 5-kilometer trail run, a 10-kilometer mountain bike and 5-kilometer cross-country ski — all on snow. USA Triathlon’s Long Course Duathlon Nationals heads west in 2013 and will be held in conjunction with the Mount Rainier Duathlon in Enumclaw, Wash., on April 28.
