Baseball workouts have changed over the years. In the past, these exercises were modeled after football workouts and focused on building mass. While there are aspects of those workouts that are helpful, baseball training has shifted to more dynamic and explosive exercises that focus on a player's core. More specifically, they focus on a player's abdominal muscles. The abs and core are important to a baseball player's success on the field. Baseball is a game played on your feet but your hands and arms seem to do all the work be it with the glove or the bat. A player's core bridges the upper and lower half.
