LIVE from Mt. SAC: There might be a 20 min delay from the Mars Rover, but we're LIVE from Mt. SAC.

For the non-Californians watching, there are three hills you are seeing them run up and down on the course. The first, after the Valley Loop, is the switchback hill. You really do run a series of zig zags to get up the thing. For a sense of how high it is, the track/football field is right below it. Picture the big tall flood light poles lighting the field for night meets. At the top of switchback you're looking at the back of those lights, right above the top of them. The second is poop-out hill. Very steep but not so high. The third is the Reservoir hill. You get the camera shot watching them go around behind it on the left, then they are climbing it coming straight at you with a telephoto lens, and they disappear in a couple of places coming up the hill, that too is as high as the lights on the track/football field.
