Virginia Tech cross country runner charged with first-degree murder

A freshman on the Virginia Tech cross country team has been charged with the abduction and murder of a 13-year-old girl. Blacksburg, VA police arrested 18-year-old David Eisenhauer on Saturday morning in relation to the disappearance of Nicole Lovell, and have since charged him with first-degree murder upon the discovery of the girl’s remains later in the day. Lovell had been missing since last Wednesday. According to Roanoke.com , the police did not confirm whether or not Eisenhauer was the lone suspect. They also did not provide information about how Eisenhauer and Lovell knew each other. “This investigation is far from over. The focus of the investigation is now to reconstruct a timeline leading up to Nicole’s tragic death,” Blacksburg Police Chief Anthony Wilson said . Eisenhauer is being held without bond.
