There’s no arguing with the fact that we runners are typically hungry pretty much all of the time. When that hunger sets in, you might be tempted to grab whatever’s not nailed down, whether that’s a healthy choice like carrot sticks and hummus or something more indulgent like donuts or ice cream. To help you answer the call of your sweet tooth or your salty craving while still staying on-track and healthy, I set out to discover some of the best healthy and tasty snacks on the market. To represent more than one set of taste buds, I also asked a few runner friends for their input. Below you can find some of our favorite new treats, including the health benefits (and flavor profiles) of each.
