London 2012 legacy continues with #GirlsTimeToMakeItHappen

Women have excelled in the London 2012 Olympic Games and Us Girls are not only celebrating their achievements but are hoping to build on their legacy and provide more young women aged between 14 and 25 years with the opportunity to participate in sport and follow their own dreams. Us Girls, an initiative to get 30,000 young women from disadvantaged areas more active, has launched a campaign - #GirlsTimeToMakeItHappen - on the back of London 2012 and the momentous achievements of the women in Team GB. The campaign was launched at Wembley before the Women’s Olympic football final between Japan and USA and Sportsister was lucky enough to meet some of the US Girls participants prior to the game.
