Good morning, and welcome to my neighbourhood. The Queen lives just up the road, and the parties are still going strong in nearby Piccadilly Circus. The Brits had lots to celebrate last night--three gold medals on the track. This is Runner?s World editor at large Amby Burfoot reporting from the start/finish line of the 2012 London Olympic Marathon for women. It begins at 11 a.m. Eastern time, and follows a twisting but highly historic course past many of London?s most famous landmarks--Buckingham Palace, Admiralty Arch, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the Millennium Wheel, St. Paul?s Cathedral, the Tower of London and ? had enough? Because there?s more. If nothing else, the race should be a spectacular viewing experience.
