2012 London Olympics - Women's Triathlon This group ran together for a good portion of the run and dropped athletes one by one until it was just NIcola Spirig and Lisa Norden at the finish line. Photo: Paul Phillips/Competitive Image The women’s Olympic triathlon came down to a sprint finish between Switzerland’s Nicola Spirig and Sweden’s Lisa Norden. It came down to a photo finish and Spirig was given the gold, with Norden earning silver. Australia’s Erin Densham earned third.
