A runner's life was saved after he collapsed near the finish line at the Naples Half:

Within yards of the finish line at Sunday’s Naples Half Marathon, Greg Wolpert, 59, suffered a heart attack, collapsed, and was clinically dead for a short period of time. Thanks to quick action and teamwork by many, Wolpert is back home in Naples, Florida, recovering, and even thinking about his return to running. Wolpert told Runner’s World Newswire via email that he wishes to relay his extreme gratitude to everyone who came to his rescue. “I was in the best of hands all the way,” Wolpert said. “I'm doing fine and am well on my way to a full recovery thanks to the many people that came to my rescue. I've had a chance to thank some of them but have no idea who others were.” Wolpert, a runner for the past 25 years, estimates that he was on his way to a 1:42 or 1:43 half marathon finish before “things started to unravel” about 10 miles into the race. “Late in the race I not...
