Perfecting the running scenes in #UnbrokenMovie was vital:

Yeah, that was definitely repetitive. And I have a problem, which is my problem, and not anyone else’s. I get so jealous of stunt doubles. I felt so particular about this run I’d created for Louie, it was impossible for me to teach that to the stunt double. So in the shots where a stunt double would have been perfectly adequate, I just couldn’t let it happen. I just had to be there. Even times where I was off camera—because it’s stop start you know, and I’m not running to the extent that Louie ever did, you did get breathers in between—there was one particular moment where the cameras where on Louie’s parents and I just wanted to be there, off camera. I wanted to be the guy they were celebrating the victory of, even though it would never be seen on camera, I still wanted [my being there] to be visible on the faces of the people portraying the family.
