Trying to balance hard training with recovery time? This'll help:

I’m training for my fourth half-marathon and trying to break 1:45. I’ve upped my training substantially and wonder if you have any tips for tracking training recovery. I want to push it, but I also don’t want to overtrain and burn out. I’ve been known to push too hard at times, and I’m really trying to make a change and train smarter. ~Jacklyn You’re really wise to focus on evolutionary progression and recovery. It’s the most overlooked training focus, but once mastered, it can up your game and improve your performance. When I coach athletes online, I have them complete a log each day that includes all the standard stats — heart rate zones, mileage, finish times and pace, weather, and sleep.
