Last week we got first-bound copies of our October issue back from the printer. It’s always exciting and slightly nerve-wracking to see weeks (and in some cases, months) of work come together in an object that will go out into the world, but this time there was an added element of anticipation, and even drama. That’s because our October issue features our first major redesign in six years, and one glance at our cover will tell you that changes are underway. Our cover subject, Micah Risk, isn’t an elite athlete or a model-runner. She’s a regular runner in Boston who has a job and a kid and a passion for staying fit and healthy. She also has a 3:18 marathon PR and a distinctive sense of running style—a “Street Style,” one of the new sections we unveil in the issue.
