A Kickstarter campaign has launched to help fund the filming of a documentary about Roger Bannister

Though Mosher knows the story has been told before, he and Ratcliffe hope to bring a few new angles to the story, including the obstacles Bannister had to overcome growing up "during a 'bleak' time of 'grey grimness' in British history after having World War II turn his childhood upside-down," they wrote on their Kickstarter page. They spent much of 2013 conducting interviews with Bannister's pacer Chris Chataway; the second person to run under four minutes in the mile, John Landry; Sebastian Coe, a former record holder in the mile; and Pat Butcher, author of The Perfect Distance; as well as some eyewitnesses to Bannister's historic run they believe have never shared their memories on camera before.
