I was raised in Kansas City, flew helicopters in Viet Nam, left the military after seven years service with the rank of Captain, and finally settled in Jacksonville, FL in 1981 where I have been an Air Conditioning and Electrical contractor ever since.-I started running in 2004 as part of my exercise plan to get healthier. I went from 242 pounds to 150 pounds and I am now much healthier. -In 2011 my wife, Sylvia, and I decided to run a local marathon. We had previously run a half marathon in 2007, but we had only run 5 and 10K’s since then. As we trained for the full marathon our love for running grew, consequentially, we now regularly win or place in our age groups.-Last year besides my regular job I was the “Race Director” for a local charity run. We had over 230 runners for our inaugural run and raised over $4,000 for the Women and Children’s Shelter in downtown Jackson...
