Real Runner Nutrition: What an elite runner & dietitian eats and why.

years ago, I said, "When I go out to dinner with people, I'm the worst-case scenario, because I'm both a professional runner and a nutritionist, so I have to deal with people sitting there, and I feel like they're critiquing what I'm eating, and they're uncomfortable eating in front of me." I've found, however, that then they see what I eat -- and their behavior shifts from uncomfortable to perplexed. I don't necessarily fit the stereotypes for an elite runner or dietitian.
