WATCH: Running The Georgia Death Race A film highlighting the culture and community behind one of Georgia's most iconic ultras. Goat Factory Media Entertainment August 3rd, 2017 The BeastCoast Trail Film Series highlights the east coast’s scrappy, rugged, “gritty” running culture. Episode Three of the six-part series follows the Georgia Death Race, “arguably the hardest ultra-race east of the rockies,” and the only Western States golden-ticket race in the east. The 100K race, which boasts approximately 20,000 feet of elevation gain, was founded just five years ago as an attempt to infuse a new, young energy into the world of 100-mile racing. It’s reputation has grown quickly.
