Santa to the Sea Half Marathon Race Recap

Yesterday morning I got up at 4am to drive up to Ventura to run the Santa to the Sea half marathon as a candy cane with Monica . RER PIC Fueled by 94 cups of coffee, we made it in plenty of time to get on the shuttles and freeze while waiting for the start. We actually had a ton of time so between the two of us crazies, we took 7,000 pictures. You’re welcome. RER PIC It started warming up and a few minutes after 8am we took off towards the sea. The course is really flat except for one overpass, but there’s a lot of turns. I kinda liked this because it kept me from getting bored (at Vegas there were 2-3 mile straight stretches so this was interesting to me), but if you’re not into turns and switchbacks, you might not love it.
