Photo Victah Sailer Mahon’s departure follows Deena Kastor’s announcement earlier this week on Runner’s World Newswire that she and her husband, Andrew, will take over day-to-day leadership of the group. A press conference outlining these changes is scheduled for Friday in conjunction with the New York City Marathon Media Day. UK Athletics spokesperson Liz Birchall was unable to confirm the appointment of Mahon to this position, citing post-Olympic restructuring within Great Britain’s track and field governing body.
