Frankly, Crossfit is saving my workout mojo. I’m hitting my key crossfit endurance workouts and getting stronger for my crossfit strength and skill workouts. I’m liking my Crossfit workouts more than running right now too, and instead of agonizing about why, I’m going to do what feels right and keeps me active, since I don’t have any races on my calendar (work co-opted Burning River). And that’s okay. Seriously. I’m okay with this and focusing on Crossfit until I feel the need to run long again. Which it will, I know enough about my running cycles that it’ll come back. And until it does, I’m going to take the opportunity to build my functional fitness elsewhere, so when I can run long again, I’m a better runner.
