Lance Armstrong skipped the trail marathon he was supposed to run Sunday:

Photo Victah Sailer Lance Armstrong opted not to run Sunday's Aspen Backwoods Marathon, in Aspen, Colorado, one day after he placed second in a mountain bike race also held in Aspen. Armstrong had planned to compete in both events. The races were held the weekend after Armstrong decided not to challenge the United States Anti-Doping Agency's case against him. USADA says the decision means Armstrong is banned for life from competing in sanctioned events; it's up to the governing bodies of individual sports to enforce the ban. Armstrong's future in running events is uncertain. A veteran of two New York City and one Boston marathons, Armstrong theoretically might be prevented in running in any USA Track & Field-sanctioned events. New York Road Runners, which pu...
