Jen, I think this is one of my very favorite posts of yours. I started following your blog at the start of my own journey from 260 pounds down. I am at 175 now, which is about 30 from my goal, but I have reached a point where I feel happy in my skin, and where my husband is extremely happy with how I look, and feel, too, reflecting many of the things you wrote about in this post, in my own life. I think that line, “Skinny is not a compliment” is one I am going to use as a mantra for those times when I start to go into unhealthy lines of thinking. I cannot BELIEVE that someone said that to you. You look amazing, and are a TRUE inspiration. But I understand why things like that sting.
