By Peter Gambaccini Photo by Victah Sailer Shalane Flanagan , the 2012 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials champion in 2:25:38, will run the Rock 'n' Roll San Diego Half Marathon on June 3 and will then race 10,000 meters at the U.S. Track & Field Trials in Eugene. She was the 2008 Olympic bronze medalist in the 10,000 and has the American record of 30:22.22 but she's made it clear the marathon will be her event at the London Olympics. Flanagan resides in Oregon and is coached by Jerry Schumacher. Are you still expecting to do the 10,000 at the Olympic Trials? Shalane Flanagan : That's still the plan. I haven't done any specific work for it. I haven't even touched the track in two and a half months.
