Kettlebells are a good workout; running is better. #running

By Scott Douglas A session of kettlebell swings can burn calories and provide an aerobic workout, but running for the same length of time burns significantly more calories and gives a much greater aerobic stimulus, according to a study published in the Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research . In the study, oxygen uptake and caloric expenditure were 25-39% greater while running, even though the exercisers were working out at the same perceived intensity level when running and doing the kettlebell-swing routine. Besides, wouldn't you rather do a nice spring run on a trail?
