How to Truly Resolve Runners Knee by Fixing Knee Drift

Hi I am studying biokinetics and we have done the ITB band. There is such a thing as ta tight ITB . Due to poor posture in the hips your hips are most probably internally rotated ( knock knees) thus strengthenING external rotators are weak. This internal rotation causes the ITB band to be shortend as the sartorius muscle is also elongated. The popliteus muscle will be tight and will be needed to be stretched as as your knee does not go into full extension. Popliteus is the main muscle and acts as a key to knee flexion. Thus all can be explained by poor posture. If you don’t have internally rotated hips it is most likely that you have pronated ankles causing strain on the ITB. Popliteus massage will take the pain away but it is likely that you will pick up knee problems in the future due to your posture.
