Disordered Eating & Runners (my experience) + I have the BEST Dessert recipe for you.

I struggled with amenorrhea because my body was in such a rough position. I was running too much and teaching too many spin classes for the amount of calories I was eating each day. My body fat was way too low for me. I was definitely in denial about the situation and my priorities were so messed up (I thought for sure that being lighter would mean I would be faster > my health). It took two fractured femurs and my doctor explaining to me that I had osteopenia (reduced bone mass) and nearly osteoporosis because of how I was taking care of my body. My doctor gave me a talk about how if I wanted to have children in the future, I needed to make changes right away. Which I did. I stopped running, ate more calories each day and most definitely increased the amount of fat I ate each day (with nut butters, eggs, cheeses, yogurts, avocado etc).
